If you can see the entire
digital photo on your monitor, you are probably not seeing
the actual optical quality of that digital photo. The
photo has most likely been compressed to fit on the
computer screen. This means that all the image details
have also been compressed, and they will appear much
sharper or detailed than they actually may be.
To view the true optical or visual quality of a digital
photo you need to display the image pixels at 100% view on
your monitor. At this view, you are seeing the actual
quality of the digital photo in terms of image sharpness
and detail, along with any other image issues that may be
present. Of course, this would be like looking at any
photo enlargement print at just a few inches away, but it
will give you the true optical view of your digital photo,
and with our advanced digital photo processing system,
this is precisely how your photo enlargements will print.
If you use any version of Photoshop, or even many other
image editing applications, it is very easy to inspect
your digital photo's true visual quality. Simply open the
original digital photo file and zoom to 100%
magnification. Then take the move tool and look all around
the image to see exactly how it will print when enlarged.
